Apple Records is a record label founded in 1968 by The Beatles as part of their multimedia company, Apple Corps Ltd. It was created to release the band’s own music and that of other artists. The label issued albums by The Beatles, solo works by its members, and acts like Badfinger, Mary Hopkin, and James Taylor. Its logo is a green Granny Smith apple.

'Hey Jude', with not so B side 'Revolution', was released in August 1968. It was the first single from the Beatles' new record label Apple Records which was founded as a division of Apple Corps Ltd.
