Flipper is an American punk band formed in San Francisco in 1979. The group is associated with the early hardcore punk scene but is noted for slower tempos and repetitive basslines. Early members included Bruce Loose, Ted Falconi, Will Shatter, and Steve DePace. Their 1982 album Album – Generic Flipper is a key release in their discography.
